Spijkenisse, 17th January 2010 Dear Michaël van de Sande,
On Christmas Eve we received the urn you made for my husband. I would like to let you know that I am extremely happy with the way you have made the urn. It is absolutely beautiful. It stands on the sideboard in my living room, a lovely work of art. A vase with a very special purpose and I am also very happy that I am able to light a small candle in the top. The poppies remind me of our happy holidays in France and the poppies in our garden. The paintings of Bazil our cat and the ladybird bring smiles to our faces. Our grandchildren are all animal lovers - cats, horses, rabbits and dogs – and they often asked their Grandpa which animal he preferred and he always replied: the ladybird. As the colour of the poppies is somewhat lighter, the ladybird really stands out. I am so very happy with the result and it gives me comfort that I not only feel the spirit of my husband nearby, but can also have him nearby in this way. Also my sincere thanks for finishing the urn for my husband before Christmas. Christmas is a very special time for my family and myself and we were all very happy that we could have him home with us.

The urn
arrived yesterday and I have to say it is absolutely
beautiful. It is a perfect representation of who my wife

that you painted for our mum. It was of outstanding workmanship and

After more than 20 years of devastating diseases, my wife Pauline died at the age of 40. Living in England but being Dutch, we had no clarity about the future destination of the remains of her body. Pauline loved birds, in particular snowy owls. Michael has created a beautiful urn, in close consultation, with several very personal details, such as Pauline's name and a short text at the back of the urn in her hand-writing. Since Pauline's death I have explicitly felt her with me, which gives me much strength. The very personal urn is a beautiful remaining tribute to Pauline, it underlines that she is at home.

Urns on the internet, we chose the Butterfly Urn for my mothers ashes
and she now has pride of place at home in a beautiful hand made urn’, I

'At a
time of great sadness, and after having searched everywhere for
something very special for Kevin's ashes, I discovered Phoenix Urns.
My husband was a Buddhist and had a deep appreciation of beauty,
music and art. I chose The 'Bird and Bamboo' urn as it is
oriental and I knew he would have chosen it for himself.
Michael was
extremely helpful and painted a special Buddhist mantra on the
urn in Tibetan text for me, which made it even more meaningful
and special. Every night I light a candle on top of the urn in
memory of Kevin.'

I have just received the urn and I am absolutely delighted with it.
It is a beautiful piece of craftmanship and it is such a comfort for me to know that my dear mum's ashes will be contained in such an exquisite and befitting ornament. Your prompt and efficient communication with me throughout the whole process was very much appreciated as was your assurance that you would treat my order as a priority, thus allowing me to receive it before Christmas.
